The Nightcap captures that final, unhurried moment of the evening: the room is quiet, the drink is poured, and the night still has a little story left in it. A seductive and cinematic composition, this four-piece silver panel balances glamour, mystery and a touch of old-school after-hours mischief.
Each section has been individually hand-poured in .999 fine silver using my traditional petrobond sand-casting process. Once assembled, the four panels form a single image, while the subtle divisions between them make the piece feel like a scene broken into frames from a late-night film.
The texture of the casting gives the work a depth that cannot be replicated by a flat print, laser engraved or machine press made piece. Every mark, contour and imperfection is part of the process a permanent record of molten silver becoming art by hand.
