“The Ghost” – 1-of-1 Hand-Poured Silver Art Panel

“The Ghost” is a one-of-a-kind silver art piece created using traditional sand-casting techniques and inspired by the iconic pin-up illustration style of Archie Dickens. I wanted to bring that unmistakable 1950s charm into the world of modern silver art, the dramatic shadows, the expressive characters, and that slightly cheeky, slightly vintage pin up energy that Dickens captured so well.

This panel shows a ghostly figure slipping out from the darkness, reaching toward a startled pin-up heroine lit by a thin beam of imagined moonlight. The exaggerated folds, the soft facial features, the flowing drapery, and the textures across the background all make the piece feel like a moment frozen from an old paperback cover or black-and-white film reel. It has a cinematic, retro charm that only really comes alive in physical silver.

The panel measures roughly 7.5cm by 5cm and weighs 2.82 troy ounces of 999s fine silver. It has been fully hand-poured, hand-finished, toned, and hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office for 2025. No moulds have been reused, no duplicates cast, and no editions planned, this is the only version that will ever exist.

To finish it off, the piece comes housed in a bespoke 3D-printed display box created by NerdUK, featuring a full recreation of the artwork on the lid. It’s designed as both a display piece and a collector’s keepsake, enhancing the storytelling and giving the work a strong visual presence even when closed.
